The Metis Bed by Saba Italia, designed by Nicola Pavan, embodies the art of reinventing timeless forms. Here, the classic and the contemporary converge: a quilted headboard that becomes fluid, a frame that shifts from open and airy to intimate and protective, and surfaces that harmonize beauty with function. Each glance reveals a new perspective, each detail reflects refined craftsmanship.

• Designer: Nicola Pavan

• Concept: Modern flexibility meets classic form; a bed that transforms with a simple gesture

• Headboard: Composite wood with 30IP polyurethane foam insert, covered in fabric combining polyurethane and velveteen

  • Two options: Flush headboard or Folding headboard with hidden steel hinges

  • End profiles: Metal with chrome or painted finish

• Bed frame: Composite wood padded with polyurethane foam, clothed in velfodera coupled to polyurethane

• Feet: Black painted wood, 4 cm high

• Shelves/Support Surfaces: Fine onyx, 2 cm thick, anchored via painted metal; can be repositioned along the bed perimeter

• Care: External fabric coupled with 400 gr/sqm polyester fiber; dry cleaning recommended for all fabric types

Visual guidance: Lifestyle imagery should include the bed in a serene, light-filled bedroom, close-ups of the quilted headboard and onyx support surfaces, and a sequence showing the folding headboard in motion.
