RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Our Commitment

We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Due to the nature of premium home furnishings and décor, the following return guidelines apply to all purchases.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

1. Unopened Returns (14-Day Window)

Unopened items may be returned within 14 days of confirmed delivery, subject to approval.

To initiate a return, email sales@modernpalette.com
 with your order number to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Requirements:

Item must remain in original, factory-sealed packaging

All original packaging and shipping materials must be included

Return must be postmarked within 7 days of RMA issuance

Customer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance

Item must arrive in new, resaleable condition

Returns sent without an approved RMA may be refused.

2. Opened Items

Once packaging has been opened, items are considered used and are not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of verified damage, defect, or shipment error.

3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery.

If visible shipping damage is present:

Refuse the shipment and ensure the carrier notes the damage.

If damage, defect, or incorrect merchandise is discovered after delivery:

 within 48 hours of delivery

Include clear photographs of the issue and packaging

To qualify:

Report within 48 hours of delivery

Provide clear supporting photos

Retain all original packaging materials

Approved damage or defect claims will be resolved with a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

4. Natural Materials & Product Characteristics

Many of our products are crafted from premium natural materials including genuine leather, wood, marble, and stone.

Natural materials inherently include variations that are not defects, including:

Leather: Natural aroma, grain variation, color variation, markings, and texture differences. A natural leather scent may be noticeable upon unboxing and will mellow over time.

Wood: Grain patterns, knots, tonal variation, and minor organic imperfections.

Stone/Marble: Veining, color variation, porosity, and surface variations.

These characteristics are expected qualities of authentic materials and do not qualify as damage, defect, or misrepresentation.

By purchasing products made from natural materials, you acknowledge and accept these inherent variations.

5. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Items marked as “Special Order” or custom-made are produced specifically for you.

Production time: approximately 9–16 weeks (or as stated on the product page)

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun

Custom and made-to-order items are non-refundable

Lead times are estimates and may vary

By placing a custom order, you agree to these terms.

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

Opened items

Custom or made-to-order products

Assembled or modified items

Final sale or clearance items

Items with natural material characteristics as described above

7. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled only prior to shipment.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

If delivery of a shipped order is refused and packaging remains sealed, it will be treated as an unopened return. Round-trip shipping costs will be deducted from any applicable refund.

8. Return Shipping & Fees

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
We cover return shipping costs for approved claims.

Unopened returns (non-defective)

Customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance

Actual outbound shipping costs (including “free shipping” promotions) will be deducted from the refund

A restocking fee may apply

Return Shipping Requirements

Use a reputable carrier with tracking and insurance

Returns without valid tracking will not be credited

COD shipments will not be accepted

Items must arrive in unopened, new condition to qualify

9. Refund Processing

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected.

Processing times may vary depending on financial institutions.
