Loving, protecting and enhancing nature by creating furniture that works in harmony with its surroundings… Fermob’s activity is focused on the outdoors, so it is only natural that the company should place sustainable development at the heart of its manufacturing processes. Fermob cultivates this value and applies it to its everyday processes, good practices and materials. Fermob furniture is made from iron or aluminium, materials that are over 95% recyclable all over the world. Consequently, Fermob can guarantee that its furniture is not only recyclable, but – more importantly – actually recycled. Outdoor technical fabrics are recovered via a unique, patented process, ensuring that 100% of components are recycled. Environmentally-friendly paints protect both the environment and human health and are applied in a zero-waste facility. Recycled and recyclable packaging: Fermob has been participating in the Eco-Emballages ("Eco-Packaging") scheme for a number of years. Reducing energy consumption is part of a continual improvement process, as demonstrated through concrete action, such as the 10°C decrease in the paint oven temperature or the use of a new double-sided adhesive that does not require pre-heating.
GREEN DESIGN
Eco-design is a key part of the design process, helping to tackle key environmental issues by reducing the consumption of raw materials and limiting waste. As a result of this inherent respect for the environment, Fermob has gained ISO 14001 certification (stage two).
