Massimo Iosa Ghini
Was born in Borgo Tossignano in 1959, started his architectural studies in Florence and graduated at Politecnico of Milan. Since 1985 he has taken part in many of the Italian and international avant-garde design projects, designing illustrations, products and interiors for Bolidismo, he is one of the founding members, and invited by Ettore Sottsass to be part of the Memphis group. Iosa Ghini designs objects in the industrial design area for international companies like Yamagiwa Lighting in Japan, Silhouette Modellbrillen in Austria, Duravit for bath products. Dornbracht, Hoesch in Germany in industrial design's area. Among the collaborations in the field of furniture, we can mention Moroso, Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Flou, Fiam and Snaidero.Iosa Ghini has held conferences and lectures in a number of universities - from Milan Politecnico, to La Sapienza University in Rome, Domus Academy, Scuola Elisava in Barcellona and Design Fachhochschule of Colonia and has represented the Italian design scene in various international symposia. He has served on the juries for many international design awards and competitions like Interieur in Belgium, SMI in Bern, Espaço'D in Saint Paul, Brazil.
Bonaldo has been active for more than fifty years at the national and international level thanks to products that meet the many shades relating to contemporary dwelling style: chairs, tables, sofas, beds and accessories. Having achieved complete know-how in the industrialization of metalworking, their present-day designs and production also make use of other types of manufacturing and materials, such as aluminum die-casting, cold molded flexible polyurethane and polypropylene. Different materials co-exist in perfect harmony, with the total reliability of the most technologically advanced manufacturing methods and the skill of their specialized technicians.
Bonaldo believes that only by bringing together different types of experience can enrich creativity and innovation: that means using not one but many languages and designers from various countries thus contributing to the innovative development of design ideas. The imagination and the communication of the company are in continuous evolution and pay attention to the European and Extra-European cultural movements.
